***IMPORTANT BENEFIT IN KIND (BIK) TAX INFORMATION PLEASE READ***
The Benefit in Kind charge is calculated on the manufacturer’s list price of the car and a percentage charge determined by the exhaust emissions of the car.
The percentages are set each year by the Government as part of the Budget and the Benefit in Kind is outlined on your order form.
Please ensure you fully understand any potential Benefit in Kind tax implications before you submit an order.

***Note that with effect from 6th April 2017, HMRC introduced new legislation which applies where benefits are provided via salary sacrifice or other optional remuneration arrangements. Under the new rules the car benefits will be based on the higher of your gross salary sacrifice in relation to the company car or the usual calculated benefit based on the vehicle's list price and emissions. The car tax liability illustrated on your vehicle order form will reflect the applicable benefit. Please refer to HMRC website for full details.

***Amendment of Mileage***
The Trust has agreed with Fleet Solutions to offer staff an option to 'Amend contracted mileage' mid contract.
This can only be done ONCE during the life of the contract and has to comply with HMRC rules ie due to a 'lifestyle change' - The lifestyle change will need to be evidenced.

**Net Deduction cars are currently unavailable through Fleet Solutions, this is due to recent communications (HMRC Webinar) provided by our payroll provider that HMRC may require the Employer to use the National living wage rates against a NET car application. We are awaiting confirmation back from Fleet Solutions legal team with no timescale of a response.
As soon as we have a response and if confirmed that the Trust is NOT required to use the NLW rates then we will allow NET applications and update the hub accordingly.
Fleet Solutions - 24 month applications - £12.94 per hour/36 month applications - £13.69 per hour.
Full time Threshold £25,302.31 (Over 24 Month) and £26,768.83 (Over 36 Month); An employee cannot FALL below these amounts when applying through Fleet Solutions. *Please note the Threshold is calculated pro-rata. Ask the Salary Sacrifice team for further advice.
